The path to developing confidence, competence and effectiveness as an Emotionally Focused Therapist can be difficult - it can also be fabulously fun, rewarding and enriching - for both our professional and personal lives. The key to finding fun in the process? Having people with you on the journey!

We all need someone to believe in us and challenge us. As an EFT Supervisor, I see my role as that of an invited companion on your learning journey, someone who can clearly see your capacity to learn and grow in the model and who stands with you in the inevitable storms along the way, providing guidance and encouragement informed by greater experience and understanding. In its simplest form, the heart of my approach to supervision is a deeply held conviction that none of us can walk the path of learning EFT alone, that developing competence and confidence in this model necessitates both personal and professional growth, and that such growth can only really occur within the context of community. I certainly would not be the therapist I am today without the skillful and sensitive supervision provided by my own supervisors and mentors throughout my learning journey. I consider it a privilege to be in a position, as an ICEEFT Certified Supervisor, to pass on such support to other therapists learning EFT.
